Kite Runner - How was Amir’s past similar to the history of Afghanistan?

Written on April 9, 2009 by admin

Present-day Afghanistan is haunted by its history in the same way Amir is haunted by his past. What are some ways that the two can be compared?

I would say that Amir “got lost”, which would be when the Russians came and when Amir turned on his brother (when hassan) was raped, which would be when the russians left and the tailban took over and created the civil violence in their country.
