DONT MIND THAT QUESTION MARK.
Letterman didn’t write or say any of this.

so now david letterman is my dad trying to give me a guilt trip? i don’t own a home, and i have to work two jobs so i don’t get kicked out of the tiny apartment i’m renting. gas prices are so high that i couldn’t afford to drive from the atlantic to the pacific and get a motel. i can’t afford to eat at any of the restaurants with the “fine cuisine.” i struggle to buy food. my apartment is really cold because i’m trying to save money. i don’t have a flat screen tv. and then there’s people that look at my situation and say that i’m ungrateful and i don’t work hard enough, even though i have TWO JOBS! there’s millions of people like me that were in a better position 8 years ago, and there’s millions more that are in a worse position and live in unsafe neighborhoods. sorry, but your quote is not an eye opener.

Be thankful for whatever you have. You have a computer or at least have access to one. How many people in the world can say that.
You can always put on an army uniform and you’d have all the heat and food you need living in Iraq. It’s nice and HOT there.
Wimp.
